I've been a martial artist for 20 years and I teach a class in Arlington, TX. So, I've seen a lot of martial arts equipment. These are the best gloves of their kind that I have seen. I say that because they are so versatile. Normally, I think of either having bag gloves or fight gloves, but these gloves are great for both. They are made of durable leather and heavily padded. There is an elastic wrist strap as well as a velcro strap that really helps the gloves stay on and stay in position while you're punching OR grappling. Additionally, the design actually allows you to make a proper fist while you're punching. At the same time, there is nothing to inhibit the fingers from gripping and grabbing. This is great for punching a bag or an opponent. I ordered a pair for a student of mine a few weeks ago. I just ordered a pair for myself.
